Government brought 4-pt amendment proposal without our consensus: Leader Yadav

SSFN Chairman Upendra Yadav has said that there has been no agreement on four-point constitution amendment proposal brought forward by the ruling parties.
Speaking with journalist at Birgunj on Monday, Chairman Yadav said that government brought forward the 4-point constitution amendment proposal without consensus of agitating Madhesi Morcha and Madhesi Gathabandhan.
"This amendment does not address the demands of agitating sides," said Yadav.
It is important to resolve the issues of Madhesi, Adivasi, Janjati, Tharu, among other marginalised communities, said Yadav. He demanded a package deal for resolving all political crises facing the country.
"The ball is in the court of three major parties," said Yadav, "Their decision will decide whether to address the grievances of agitating sides or push the country towards another conflict."
Leader Yadav said that federal states should be formulated as per recommendation given by State Restructuring Commission. He further stated that current seven states do not address the issue of agitating sides.
In citizenship issue, Chairman Yadav said that allowing naturalised citizenship holders to assume the constitutional post of the country is not a demand of Madhesi Morcha and Gathabandhan. "However, the provision should be reconsidered when it comes to naturalised citizenship holders by marriage."
On a different context, leader Yadav refuted the rumours about SSFN's merger with Baburam Bhattarai-led Naya Shakti Nepal.
