Leader Poudel hopeful of national consensus

Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has expressed his hope that a national consensus will be forged to move a process to amend the constitution.
Speaking at a press meet organised by the Nepal Press Union, Dhanusha, the Congress leader said we should all be aware of circumstance (s)that may pose threat to federalism, democracy and the principle of inclusion, the major achievements of the country and people attained through great efforts.
He further insisted on amending the constitution on the basis of a political consensus and ensuring its widely acceptability so as to find a strong base for institutionalising federalism and republic. He was of the view of focusing the country's attention on holding the local and provincial elections by resolving the problems facing the country soon.

Elections to oppose regional politics: Chair Oli

CPN (UML) chair and former Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has said that the upcoming elections will vehemently oppose and respond to the regional politics and forces involved in disharmonizing the social cohesion. PM Dahal to discuss with ex-PMs, China affairs experts before China visit

As Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is preparing to pay an official visit to China on March 23, the PM is scheduled to discuss the matter with former Prime Ministers and China affairs experts beforehand. A meeting of former PMs and China affairs experts has been called at PM Dahal's official residence in Baluwatar at 9 am on Thursday in this regard, said PM Dahal's press advisor Gobinda Acharya.
